Hazard and Risk Maps for your BDRRM PLAN
Strong and proactive policies are the foundation of an effective disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM) system. This component ensures that local ordinances, resolutions, and policy recommendations align with RA 10121 and other national frameworks, reinforcing disaster resilience at the community level.
Key areas of focus include the enactment of DRRM-related ordinances, the adoption of policy recommendations from the Local DRRM Council (LDRRMC), and the integration of environmental, health, education, and other sectoral programs into disaster risk management policies. These legislative efforts support a risk-informed approach to governance, ensuring that disaster preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery are institutionalized within local government systems.
By continuously updating and strengthening policies, LGUs can create a safer, more resilient community equipped to handle disasters effectively.
